SUPRAMED NATIONAL MEETING

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME
BOOK OF ABSTRACT
We are glad to announce the 1st edition of the SuPraMed national meeting of PROGEMA (European Union 2014-2020 PON Ricerca e Innovazione), entirely dedicated to researchers working in environmental assessment, valorization pathways and green chemistry applied to drug discovery and production.
The SuPraMed national meeting will be held in Palermo, on 28th April 2022 from 09.00 AM to 6.30 PM, live and online streaming. During the event, the best practices to successfully address food loss and waste management will be presented, including: a) the extraction and repositioning of pharmacologically active organic compounds; b) the abatement of their polluting loading (by photocatalytic and biological processes); and c) possible re-use of the food waste in industrial, agricultural, domestic and medical field.
Sessions will span the breadth and depth of green and sustainable chemistry and engineering & waste valorization, with specific sessions dedicated to the positive results obtained by PROGEMA project “PROcessi Green per l'Estrazione Di principi attivi e la depurazione di MAtrici di scarto e non”, funded by MUR through the program PON "Ricerca e Innovazione".
In addition to all the PROGEMA partners, the meeting will be joined by external stakeholders coming from Academic institutions, Research centers and/or Companies, which will be able to take the chance to experience the exchange flows between all the actors involved in the PROGEMA project.
A virtual component will be available to connect the local event with the global community of scientists, students, educators and leaders interested in advancing science and solutions to global sustainability challenges.

Green and Sustainable Pharmaceutical Approaches
Bio-inspired drug discovery
Waste recovery circular economy & raw materials
The safety- sustainability continuum
REGISTRATION FORM
Symposium members will present the results of their scientific research in front of an international audience, which will also include representatives of chemical companies and invited renowned scientists.
The conference is organized into thematic sessions, each of them constructed around 2 KEYNOTES and 18 ORAL PRESENTATIONS.
The deadline for abstract submission is APRIL 15th, 2022.

FROM AIRPORT TO PALERMO CENTRAL STATION
BY BUS:
From the airport, the cheapest way to reach the center of Palermo is the shuttle bus Airport-Central Station of the company Autolinee Prestia and Comandè.
BY TRAIN:
Palermo airport has a railway station located on the underground floor that connects the passenger terminal with Palermo Centrale station. The travel time between Punta Raisi airport and Palermo Centrale station is 56 minutes. The ticket price starts from 5.90 euros, and there are reductions for children, families and small groups.
BY TAXI:
The taxi service from the airport runs concurrently with the arrival time of the flights. The taxi rank is located at the exit of the Arrivals Area. If there is no taxi available, you can book one by calling the Trinacria Cooperative on 0039 091 225455 and 0039 091 6878 or the Autoradio Taxi Cooperative on 0039 091-513311 and 0039 091 8481 or contact the TAXI information desk outside the arrivals area. The fixed rate from the airport to the center of Palermo is 45 euros.
